Every year, thousands of students compete for limited seats at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST). After leaving the Cluster Admission system, the university received a record number of applications for the session 2024-25.
The admission circular was published on December 17, 2024. As per the circular, the online application was started on January 5 and ended on January 25, 2025. This year, only the candidates who passed in SSC and Equivalent Exam in 2021, 2022, and HSC and Equivalent Exam in 2023, 2024 are allowed to submit the online application.
SUST Admission Test 2025
This year, the admission process has been more competitive than ever, with thousands of applicants across different units. Shahjalal University admission is based on a 100-mark exam, consisting of multiple-choice questions and academic performance scores.
The SUST Admission Test 2025 was conducted on February 28, 2025, for both A and B units. According to the admission committee, a total of 86,380 students applied for 1,671 seats at SUST, making the competition extremely tough. On average, 51 candidates competed for each seat.
- Unit A-1 (Science Section): 57,273 students applied for 955 seats.
- Unit A-2 (Science & Architecture): 1,250 students applied for 30 seats.
- Unit B (Science, Humanities, Commerce): 29,107 students applied for 581 seats.

Result Published Date
The SUST Admission Result 2025 will be published by March 5, 2025. The official result date will be announced after the admission committee’s final review. Generally, the admission result is published within or after 5 days of the test.
The results will be published in PDF format. It will include all successful candidates. Those who qualify must submit the required documents and complete the admission process before the deadline. Since there are 1,671 seats, students with higher scores will be admitted first. If some students do not complete admission, their seats will go to waiting list candidates.
SUST A Unit Result 2025
The A Unit admission test at SUST is one of the most challenging exams for science students. It determines eligibility for engineering, architecture, and science programs. The A Unit is further divided into two units; A-1 and A-2.
Students had to answer multiple-choice questions (MCQs) covering Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English. The architecture candidates also needed to pass an additional drawing test. The merit list for SUST A Unit Admission Test 2025 will be based on:

B Unit Result, Merit List
The SUST B Unit Result 2025 includes students from science, humanities, and commerce backgrounds. Since B Unit has 581 seats, the admission process is highly competitive. Candidates must achieve high scores to secure a place.
The candidates who appeared on the B Unit Test, will be looking for the result. The merit list will be published online. Then anyone can by providing Roll Number. Selected candidates must complete their admission within the given deadline. Those on the waiting list should stay updated for the latest announcement.
